As a Software Developer reporting to the Director - Software Engineering, you'll design and build technology solutions for internal and external clients, covering systems strategy, development, integration, and product enhancements.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working across architecture, development, and infrastructure teams, and taking solutions from design through coding, testing, and implementation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver IT solution designs aligned with business goals and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead requirements analysis and translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and enhance applications with a focus on performance and usability.
  • Mentor team members across design, development, and testing, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with partners and business clients to drive continuous improvement, identify new opportunities, and ensure solutions meet client needs through direct interaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with solid hands-on software development experience in client-facing roles.
  • Strong Java (11+) skills, with good knowledge of databases and SQL for building and running scalable services.
  • Experience with REST APIs, messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ), and microservices or service-based architectures.
  • Comfortable with Git, CI/CD tools (GitLab, TeamCity), Linux environments, and scripting.
  • Product-focused mindset with clear communication skills in English, able to work effectively with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial industry (banking, accounting, trading, clearing).
  • Familiarity with Wildfly/RedHat EAP and Message-Oriented Middleware (e.g., ActiveMQ).
  • Experience with JIRA and TeamCity.

This position will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
