About the Role

RedCompass Labs is building a proprietary multi-agent AI platform that transforms how global financial institutions approach payments analysis, compliance, and financial crime detection. The platform combines large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and intelligent automation to reduce complex analytical processes from weeks to hours - and powers tools actively used to track and disrupt financial crime affecting real victims around the world.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer - Mid or Senior - to own the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that power this platform. This is not a support function - you will be an integral part of the product engineering team, working alongside AI engineers, backend developers, and product managers to ensure our platform is reliable, secure, and ready to scale across enterprise clients globally.

You will shape how AI workloads are deployed, monitored, and operated in production within a regulated financial services environment. You will also help set the standard for how the team works - bringing experience, leadership, and a genuine commitment to doing things right.

This is a role for someone who wants their technical skills to mean something beyond the sprint board.

What You Will Do

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on Azure and AWS using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline
• Own Amazon EKS clusters, container registries (ACR, ECR), and containerised workloads end-to-end
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Administer Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and AWS IAM, RBAC, managed identities, and secrets management (Key Vault, Secrets Manager)
• Manage cloud networking - VNets, VPCs, NSGs, Security Groups, Private Endpoints, Load Balancers
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and disaster recovery across environments and cloud providers
• Enforce security and compliance standards (Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, Azure Policy)
• Optimise cloud costs through resource right-sizing, reserved instances, and tagging strategies
• Collaborate with development teams to containerise applications and improve deployment workflows
• Lead AI/ML workload deployment - model serving infrastructure, inference pipelines, and experiment tracking environments
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering standards and best practices

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure with solid AWS experience
• Strong knowledge of Azure services: App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Service Bus
• Working knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, Route 53
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD tooling - GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration on EKS
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and branching strategies
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TLS, VPNs)
• Experience with RBAC, managed identities, IAM roles, and zero-trust security principles
• An AI-first working mindset - you actively use AI-powered tools as a natural part of your daily workflow to solve problems faster and more effectively
• A collaborative, ownership-driven approach - you take initiative and bring others with you

Nice to have:

• Experience with Bicep or CloudFormation
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305) or AWS certifications (SAA, DVA, SysOps)
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and/or AWS Control Tower
• Familiarity with policy-as-code (Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper, AWS SCPs)
• Experience with database administration across both clouds
• Knowledge of cost management tools (Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, FinOps practices)
• Multi-cloud architecture design experience
• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure - GPU compute, model serving, vector databases, or LLM deployment pipelines
