Role: System Engineer

As a System Engineer, you will support the coordination, delivery, and operational stability of technical projects related to our electronic trading platforms. This role blends project execution with hands‑on involvement in production trading environments, providing a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and financial markets.

You will collaborate closely with IT teams, trading desks, and external vendors to ensure system reliability, successful project delivery, and a deep understanding of front‑office operational requirements. This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organized, technically curious, and eager to build a career within trading technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production electronic trading platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and performance.
• Coordinate project timelines, delivery milestones, and cross‑team communication.
• Perform quality control checks on production systems and support technical deployments.
• Serve as a key liaison between IT teams, traders, and external vendors.
• Support incident management processes, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reporting.
• Assist in planning and executing platform enhancements and system upgrades.
• Develop a strong understanding of business workflows and trading floor operations.
• Work autonomously while adapting quickly to evolving business and technical environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills

• Strong organizational, coordination, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments and proficiency with command‑line operations.
• Competence in Shell scripting; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic trading systems such as Fidessa or similar OMS/EMS platforms.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and experience with platforms such as Ullink/Broadridge would be beneficial
• Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced, real‑time trading environments.
• Understanding of trading operations and front‑office constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial markets or electronic trading environments is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with production trading platforms is desirable.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to dive into system behaviour and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Experience

• Exposure to production support, trading technology, or electronic trading systems is preferred.
• Experience working in multi‑team environments or with external vendors is beneficial.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid role based in Warsaw, with three days per week in the office.
• Offered as a permanent contract (Umowa o Pracę – UoP).
