Product Line Quality Manager(m/f/d) - Boats and Davits

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive product development quality by applying advanced quality tools, managing deviations, and supporting strategic Quality Management initiatives across the Product Line Boats & Davits.
  • Develop and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001, ensuring efficient, standardized processes throughout the product lifecycle and Product Development Process (PDP).
  • Define, optimize, and implement global QHSE processes, securing compliance with internal and external standards, and delivering training and technical support to strengthen quality awareness and claim management effectiveness.
  • Serve as the authorized PALFINGER Marine representative for customers, classification societies, certification bodies, and stakeholders on MED, Flag, Class, MSC 402(96), RINA, LSA, and related product certifications—ensuring maintenance of existing certifications and preparation for future ones.
  • Lead Quality Circle meetings and performance reporting, chairing PL Boats & Davits quality sessions and driving key improvement topics, while providing regular monthly KPI reporting aligned with global Marine QHSE goals.

Your Qualifications

  • Graduate University mechanical engineering/ steel construction/ electrical engineering and/ or 5 years of professional experience (preferable in product development or QHSE Management)
  • Education or comparable Knowledge of the current ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001) and other Marine specific regulations as: MED, MSC402(96), Class & Flag approvals
  • Education or comparable training as internal Auditor
  • Several years of professional experience in project management, leading projects, leading interdisciplinary project teams
  • Experience and application knowledge of common quality methods (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Ishikawa, 5Why, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the relevant HSE laws, regulations, ordinances, and standards
  • Confident handling of MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), Power BI, Power Apps, KanBan and ERP programs (SAP)
