UI/UX Developer – Trading Tools

Location: Singapore / Hong Kong (flexible)

My client is a leading quantitative trading firm building high-performance systems that operate in real-time global markets. They are seeking a product-minded UI/UX Developer to design and build mission-critical internal tools used directly by traders and operators.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and trading, with a strong focus on delivering intuitive, high-performance interfaces for real-time decision-making.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with traders and business stakeholders to design and build real-time trading tools, delivering solutions in fast, iterative cycles. The environment is highly dynamic, with a strong emphasis on ownership, speed, and practical problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building high-performance front-end applications for real-time trading workflows
• Partnering directly with traders and operators to translate ambiguous requirements into working products
• Delivering features in fast, feedback-driven iterations rather than long release cycles
• Designing systems with a platform mindset, enabling reusable components and extensible workflows
• Contributing across the stack where needed, including API design and backend integration
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in real-time environments
• Continuously improving performance, usability, and system reliability

What They’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in frontend development (TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS)
• Strong experience building data-heavy or real-time applications
• Proven ability to work directly with stakeholders and own product delivery end-to-end
• Experience operating in fast-paced, iterative environments (e.g. fintech, trading, startups)
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimisation, and system design
• Exposure to backend development (e.g. Python, Golang) is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
