Engineering Manager / Team Lead (NAV)

EUROAPOTHECA also provides IT services for the Group’s companies. Our growing IT team of more than 70 IT professionals develops innovative solutions to meet business needs and ensures the reliable operations of the Group’s IT infrastructure and applications.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Team Lead for our Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central team. Our ERP platform enables the operation of pharmacies and the supply chain across the Baltic countries and Sweden. The team is moving toward a product engineering model — engineers owning features they build, understanding the business context, and testing their own code. This role is about leading that shift while growing the team and keeping delivery on track.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Help the team grow into product ownership - deeper understanding of what we're building, why, and for whom
• Conduct regular 1-on-1s, grow engineers through mentoring, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
• Work with product peers and stakeholders to keep the team connected to business outcomes
• Take responsibility for the team's delivery quality, timelines and commitments
• Own and improve engineering practices across the team
• Technical roadmap: modernization, tech debt, code quality, C/AL and modern AL development practices
• Test automation in the Dynamics ecosystem - making testing a normal part of how the team works
• Code reviews, release discipline, architecture discussions

We are looking for a colleague who has:

• 5+ years software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management / team lead roles
• Either experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (C/AL, AL), or strong expertise in other languages and platforms (C#, Python, Java, PHP, X++, ABAP, etc.) with a willingness to learn the Dynamics ecosystem - both are equally valued
• Product thinking - you naturally question requirements, dig into the problem before jumping to solutions, exhibit end-to-end ownership and bring that mindset to the team
• Experience leading teams through process or cultural changes - not just adopting new tools, but changing how people work
• Working knowledge of ensuring engineering excellence in your domain - testing, monitoring, observability, code quality and so on
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset 

It would be an advantage if you have:

• Hands-on experience with AL test code units or other ERP-native testing approaches
• Understanding of our business domains - pharmacy, supply chain, retail, or finance
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices for Business Central (CI/CD, Docker-based development, AL extensions)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working
