ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client a Senior Oracle DBA/PL-SQL Specialist

Context

The client is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA / PL-SQL specialist to support its database environment within the same context as the previous infrastructure migration mission. The role focuses on Oracle database administration, with strong involvement in database restoration, migration activities, and operational reliability. The consultant will support critical database operations while contributing to the continuity and modernization of the database landscape.

Objective

• Ensure the availability, integrity, and recoverability of Oracle databases.

• Manage and execute database restoration operations.

• Support and secure database migration activities.

• Contribute to the stability and performance of business-critical database environments.

Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administration

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments.

• Monitor database health, availability, and performance.

• Support daily operational activities related to Oracle database management.

Database Restoration & Recovery

• Perform database restoration activities when required.

• Define, test, and improve backup and recovery procedures.

• Ensure recoverability and resilience of database environments.

Database Migration

• Contribute to or lead database migration activities.

• Prepare migration plans, execution steps, and validation scenarios.

• Support cutover, rollback planning, and post-migration stabilization.

• Ensure data consistency and service continuity throughout migration phases.

PL/SQL Expertise

• Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL scripts, procedures, and packages.

• Support troubleshooting and performance improvement through PL/SQL analysis.

• Contribute to automation and database-related scripting tasks.

Performance, Reliability & Support

• Analyze and resolve database incidents and performance issues.

• Provide technical recommendations to improve security, stability, and efficiency.

• Work closely with infrastructure, application, and project teams during critical operations.

Profile Experience

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA.

• Strong experience in PL/SQL development and administration.

• Hands-on experience with database restoration and recovery operations.

• Proven experience in database migration projects.

Technical Skills

• Oracle Database Administration.

• PL/SQL.

• Backup / Restore / Recovery.

• Database migration planning and execution.

• Performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
