About The Role
The Staff iOS Engineer role at Capital One Canada offers an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a talented team of software engineers in developing cutting-edge mobile applications. As part of the software studio, which has grown significantly since 2014, you will contribute to projects that empower users to monitor their credit scores, manage personal information, and determine credit card approval certainty, among other initiatives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in any field and have extensive experience in iOS application development. A minimum of six years of hands-on experience with native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI is required, along with a strong background in application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development. Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring junior developers, and guiding stakeholders is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of software engineering best practices and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Preferred qualifications include over eight years of comprehensive software development experience, exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, and familiarity with open source frameworks and tools. Experience in designing scalable, maintainable mobile applications and working within cross-functional teams will be highly valued.
