Platform: PC / Steam
Engine: Unity
Availability: Full-time or Part-time (Remote)
Quick Note About Compensation
This role operates on a revenue-share basis rather than a fixed monthly salary.
We are a small, independent studio currently developing our first PC titles for Steam, and we follow a simple, transparent model:
You contribute to the project →
Once the game launches →
You receive your agreed share of the revenue
This is not a co-founder position and does not include large equity — it’s a clear and fair collaboration model for experienced artists who enjoy building games within a focused, agile team.
About Us
We are TINK TEAM LTD, a UK-based technology company and independent game development studio.
We are currently developing multiple Mobile-Ready PC game projects in parallel, with a strong focus on high-quality 3D gameplay, scalable production pipelines, and modern Unity workflows.
Each project is led by a dedicated Senior 3D Artist, responsible for defining and executing the visual direction.
Role Overview
As a Senior 3D Artist, you will take full ownership of the visual direction of one project — from early style definition to final in-engine presentation.
You will work closely with developers and other contributors, ensuring artistic consistency, production efficiency, and performance across the entire project.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you will both create and guide.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, establish, and maintain the overall visual direction and art quality
- Lead visual development: moodboards, references, style frames, and direction alignment
- Take ownership of environment design (blockout → set-dressing → final polish)
- Oversee and contribute to asset production (environments, props, characters where needed)
- Establish and improve art pipelines and production workflows
- Ensure visual consistency across all assets and scenes
- Direct lighting, materials, shaders, and scene composition
- Supervise Unity integration, ensuring correct setup and optimization
- Drive performance optimization (LODs, draw calls, materials, scene structure)
- Collaborate closely with developers to balance visual quality vs performance
- Provide feedback, mentorship, and direction to other artists when applicable
- Support cinematic presentation and marketing assets (trailers, gameplay videos)
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in 3D game development
- Experience shipping at least one commercial game
- Strong portfolio demonstrating real-time, game-ready assets and environments
- Advanced experience with Unity (URP/HDRP, lighting, materials, shaders)
- Solid understanding of optimization and performance constraints
- Proven ability to own visual direction or lead art decisions
Nice to Have
- Strong concept / visual development skills (paintovers, keyframes, style exploration)
- Experience with modular environment workflows (trim sheets, decals, kit systems)
- Familiarity with Cinemachine & Timeline
- Knowledge of VFX and particle systems
- Experience working in indie or small teams
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience
How to Apply
If you’re excited about leading the visual direction of an indie PC game and working in a small, focused team, we’d love to hear from you.
