About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in frontend development, particularly with React and JavaScript, to join our banking and finance division. This is a contract position valid until 31 December, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project requirements. The role is based at our Essex offices, located between Brentwood and Basildon, requiring a presence of four days per week. As a key member of our development team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing new frontend products tailored for our customers. Your role will also involve mentoring and upskilling fellow team members, sharing your knowledge of creating sophisticated and user-friendly frontend applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in frontend software development, with proven experience in React and JavaScript. A solid understanding of modern web development practices, responsive design, and user experience principles is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies. While not mandatory, experience in backend software engineering, networking, security, and monitoring will be considered advantageous. Relevant educational qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields are preferred.
