Avionics Engineer


Location: Luxembourg

Employment: Full‑time, On-site


iO Associates are partnered with a company who are expanding their engineering team in Luxembourg, and they are looking for an Avionics/Electronics Engineer to support the development, testing and validation of electronic systems used in high‑reliability applications.


About the Role

In this position, you will support the full engineering lifecycle, including testing, fault‑finding, documentation, and working with cross‑functional teams. Typical responsibilities include:


  • Performing laboratory testing using standard electronic test equipment
  • Creating and executing test plans for electronic hardware
  • Developing simple scripts (e.g. Python) to automate tests or process data
  • Supporting the assembly and testing of engineering prototypes
  • Contributing to requirements, documentation and technical specifications
  • Assisting with interface testing (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Supporting activities related to reliability analysis or basic risk assessments
  • Helping with system diagrams, documentation and design reviews where needed
  • Contributing to general engineering tasks as projects evolve


About You

We welcome candidates with a solid technical foundation and a willingness to learn. You do not need aerospace or specialist industry experience. A practical, hands‑on approach is key. Ideally, you bring:


  • A degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace or a related field
  • Comfortable working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Experience creating or running hardware test plans
  • Familiarity with Python or interest in developing simple scripts
  • Experience building or testing prototypes
  • Basic familiarity with Linux environments
  • Confident working with documentation such as requirements or interface descriptions
  • Interest in embedded interfaces or electronic system testing
