Are you a skilled Java developer with a passion for building robust, scalable applications using Spring Boot and AWS? At MCA Sweden, we’re looking for talented Java developers to join our consulting team and work with exciting clients. As a consultant, you’ll develop cutting-edge software solutions that power the future of transportation, connectivity and aerospace.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot to meet client requirements for scalability and performance.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using tools like Apache Kafka or AWS SQS for seamless communication between systems.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway to ensure high availability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps engineers and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Implement unit testing and integration testing using frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or Mockito to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
  • Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to security best practices in cloud-based environments.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and processes to support client deliverables and knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with a focus on microservices architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with message queues (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline for automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
