Electrical Technician – Demobilization Project

Overview

Prismecs is seeking experienced Electrical Technicians – Demobilization Project (Oman) to support electrical shutdown, dismantling, and removal activities across a power generation facility.

This role is project-based (estimated 2–4 months) and we are hiring locally within Oman for immediate mobilization.

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for executing electrical disconnection, cable removal, and equipment dismantling while ensuring strict compliance with PTW, LOTO, and HSE standards. This role requires strong hands-on experience and the ability to work in fast-paced shutdown environments.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)

• Follow all PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO, and HSE procedures at all times
• Ensure safe isolation and verification before electrical work
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately
• Promote safe work practices and proper use of PPE

Shutdown & Demobilization Activities

• Perform electrical disconnection, dismantling, and removal of equipment on-site
• Support shutdown and demobilization of:

• MV (11kV) and LV systems
  
• Switchgear, panels, transformers, and DC systems
  

• Assist with cable identification, tagging, termination removal, and cable pulling
• Support dismantling of cable trays, lighting systems, and auxiliary systems (CCTV, etc.)
• Ensure proper handling, packing, and preservation of dismantled equipment

Execution & Coordination

• Follow instructions from Electrical Supervisor and site leadership
• Coordinate with Mechanical and I&C teams for smooth execution
• Work within project timelines and support daily progress targets
• Assist in troubleshooting and safe removal of electrical systems

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in:

• Power plants / energy sector
  
• EPC / construction / shutdown projects
  

• Strong hands-on field experience (MANDATORY)
• Experience in electrical dismantling / shutdown projects preferred
• Familiar with:

• MV (11kV) and LV systems
  
• Cables, switchgear, transformers, and electrical equipment handling
  

• Strong understanding of PTW, LOTO, and site safety practices
• Ability to read and follow electrical drawings and basic schematics
• Good teamwork and ability to work under site conditions

Additional Requirements

• Must be currently based in Oman (local hiring only)
• Available for immediate start
• Available for project duration (2–4 months)

Preferred

• Middle East project experience
• Experience in shutdown or demobilization projects
• Experience in equipment packing and preservation for relocation
