Maintenance Manager – Demobilization Project (Oman)

Overview

Prismecs is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager – Demobilization Project (Oman) to lead maintenance coordination, asset management, and safe execution of shutdown and demobilization activities for a power generation facility.

This role is project-based (estimated 2–4 months) and we are hiring locally within Oman for immediate mobilization.

The Maintenance Manager will oversee equipment shutdown readiness, dismantling coordination, asset preservation, and site logistics while ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and project timelines. This role requires strong leadership, TM2500 experience, and the ability to manage teams and assets during high-pressure project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)

• Lead and enforce all HSE policies and site safety performance
• Promote a strong safety culture across all teams and contractors
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and local HSE regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe execution of shutdown activities
• Ensure safety and security of personnel, equipment, and site operations

Shutdown & Demobilization Management

• Lead maintenance strategy during plant shutdown and demobilization
• Coordinate equipment shutdown, isolation readiness, and dismantling sequencing
• Oversee preservation, tagging, and preparation of equipment for relocation or storage
• Ensure proper handling of generators, BOP systems, and plant assets
• Support cross-functional coordination with Electrical, Mechanical, CRO, and HSE teams
• Ensure all shutdown activities align with project schedules and execution plans

Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Develop and execute maintenance and shutdown plans for plant equipment
• Identify and resolve non-conformities or deviations in plant operations
• Lead corrective actions related to equipment issues or failures
• Ensure all equipment meets operational and contractual requirements prior to shutdown
• Provide daily progress tracking and reporting on maintenance and demobilization activities

Asset & Inventory Management

• Ensure proper tracking, documentation, and safeguarding of plant assets
• Manage spare parts, consumables, and inventory planning
• Ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of critical materials
• Coordinate logistics, inventory audits, and equipment documentation
• Ensure proper packing, storage, and transport readiness of equipment

Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage maintenance teams, contractors, and site personnel
• Ensure efficient use of plant resources and manpower
• Drive productivity, quality, and adherence to timelines
• Generate daily, weekly, and project reports on maintenance and shutdown progress
• Maintain strong communication with Plant Manager and project stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred)
• 5+ years of experience managing power plant operations or maintenance
• 5+ years of experience with GE TM2500+ Gen8 gas turbines (MANDATORY)
• Strong experience in maintenance planning, asset management, and team leadership
• Experience managing large-scale plant operations or EPC environments
• Strong knowledge of maintenance reporting, scheduling, and execution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong English communication skills
