HSE Coordinator – Demobilization Project (Oman)

Overview

Prismecs is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator – Demobilization Project (Oman) to support and oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance during an active electrical shutdown and demobilization project.

This role is project-based (estimated 2–4 months) and we are hiring locally within Oman for immediate mobilization.

The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting safe execution of dismantling activities across site. This role requires strong field presence, shutdown experience, and the ability to enforce safety standards under high-risk site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)

• Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local and international standards (OSHA, etc.)
• Ensure full compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) and LOTO procedures during shutdown activities
• Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and site walk-downs
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings for site personnel
• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor compliance with safety procedures and report non-conformances

Shutdown & Demobilization Safety Oversight

• Support safe execution of dismantling activities including electrical systems and equipment
• Ensure proper isolation and LOTO procedures are followed prior to dismantling
• Monitor high-risk activities such as equipment removal, lifting, and cable dismantling
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols on site
• Coordinate safety requirements across Electrical, Mechanical, and Logistics teams

Training, Audits & Reporting

• Develop and deliver safety training programs as required
• Conduct internal and external safety audits and inspections
• Prepare reports with findings, corrective actions, and follow-ups
• Maintain compliance reporting as required by local regulations
• Participate in incident and accident investigations
• Analyze incident trends and recommend improvement plans

Coordination & Site Support

• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, HR, and other departments to ensure safety alignment
• Provide safety guidance and coaching to site personnel
• Support preparation of safety documentation for project activities and tenders
• Ensure safety readiness for all phases of project execution

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
• 5–10 years of HSE experience in field environments (power, EPC, or industrial projects)
• Proven experience as HSE Coordinator on multi-site or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and international safety standards
• Experience with PTW systems, LOTO programs, and risk assessments
• Strong experience in safety audits, inspections, and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Additional Requirements

• Must be currently based in Oman (local hiring only)
• Available for immediate start
• Available for project duration (2–4 months)
• Ability to be on-call for site emergencies when required

Preferred

• Experience in shutdown or demobilization projects
• Experience in power plants or EPC environments
• Familiarity with HSE systems such as ISNetworld or PEC
• Experience working in Middle East projects
