Purpose & Scope of the Role
This role is responsible for collecting, managing, and analysing complex datasets to support strategic and operational decision-making. You will develop robust data processes, maintain high-quality data standards, and deliver insightful reporting through dashboards and visualisations. Working across technical and operational teams, you will ensure data integrity while supporting the development and optimisation of asset management systems.
Your Impact in this Position
You will play a key role in improving efficiency and performance by identifying trends, driving data-led decisions, and enhancing existing systems. Your work will directly support engineering operations, enabling better forecasting, lifecycle planning, and cost management while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Core Capabilities
Data Collection & Management
Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics. Strong technical capability in SQL, Excel, and Python or R, alongside experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical insights to a broad audience.
Working Environment
This role offers a flexible working approach, with a blend of office and remote working. Typically, you can expect 2–3 days in the office, with the remainder worked remotely. You’ll collaborate with both office-based teams and field engineers, supporting a dynamic and technically focused environment.

- Source, validate, and manage data from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Maintain structured databases and support data migration into internal platforms
- Apply statistical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and performance insights
- Develop KPIs and support forecasting to inform strategic planning
- Design and deliver clear dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI
- Communicate complex findings in an accessible, impactful way
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
- Provide insights that drive operational and engineering improvements
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance data processes
- Support and develop asset collection software, ensuring alignment with industry standards and data frameworks
