Backend Developer with Node.js

We are looking for a Backend Developer with Node.js to join our team in an exciting automotive project. In this position you will be part of an activity-based Agile Squad, comprising 1 Front-end and 2 Back-end developers.

The project is a standalone application hosted within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, specifically designed to receive, manage, and display ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) data for internal clients. The project focuses on integrating new telemetry data and products based on services developed within the vehicle, utilizing CCS2 (SWEET400) and CCS3 (SWEET500 / SDV) platforms. The team’s work is

driven by real deliverables rather than Work Packages (WP), with an internal Product Owner managing the backlog and performance reviewed at the end of each Sprint.

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipelines & Decoding: Develop robust data pipelines to decode and interpret incoming telemetry data sourced from various vehicle sensors. Since the data follows a standardized telemetric format, the primary goal is to decode and interpret it effectively.
• Cloud & Backend Development: Develop back-end application modules optimized for the Google Cloud Platform, ensuring strict compliance with the client’s specific security, performance, and usability requirements.
• DevOps & Fullstack Contribution: Handle some associated DevOps tasks. While the role is back-end focused, individuals with fullstack capabilities are welcomed.
• Agile Delivery & Maintenance: Analyze specific functional requirements derived from the user story backlog for each iteration. You will also monitor, maintain, and provide ongoing development for existing applications.
• Testing & Tracking: Perform functional and validation tests on emulators and physical targets, prepare the corresponding reports, and maintain a dashboard that tracks the number of bugs resolved per release.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position;
• Strong expertise in Node.js for back-end development.
• Experience building and deploying within cloud infrastructure, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Agile development methodologies (e.g., SAFE, Spotfire).
• Good skills in English, both spoken and written.
