EMEA Cash Application Specialist is responsible for managing the process of incoming payments, ensuring accurate allocation to customer accounts and maintaining financial records. This position requires coordination with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate application of payments and resolution of discrepancies, in accordance with the organization's accounting policies and internal controls.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIE

  • Accurately apply incoming payments (transfers, checks, ACH, wire) to customer accounts based on remittance information
  • Monitor and process unapplied cash transactions and work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies ( e.g Accounts receivable, Finance teams)
  • Reconcile cash application against bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Communicate with Accounts Receivable team regarding payment discrepancies, issues or missing remittances
  • Process accounting adjustments in the system, as requested by internal teams ( e.g accounts receivables, finance)
  • Prepare and provide reports on payment applications, aged receivables, and cash flow, as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP system
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
  • Support accounting closing activities and internal/external audits

Core Skills/Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in a multinational or corporate environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and being detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP is a plus.
