Are you the person, who wants to take on the challenge of being a Product Manager for S- band (Sea/Giraffe 4A, Sea Giraffe 4A FF), within Product Unit Giraffe xA, Surface Sensors Solutions at Saab?

Your role

As a Product Manager at PU Giraffe xA, you will be part of our Product Management team within our S-band Giraffe family. This will be done on your initiative in different cross-functional teams. The ability to create structure from uncertainty and to communicate progress, goals and direction to both internal and external stakeholders is key abilities for the roll of a Product Manager.

A Product manager has full responsibility for all aspects of the product life cycle including:

• Initiate R&D assignments within the organization, establish and follow up on the time schedule, milestones, budget
• Interface towards various parts of our internal organization including several management levels and boards.
• Ensure short- and long-term profitability of the product(s), aligned to our strategic direction.
• Challenge the organization to continuously improve in order to contribute to increased profitability for the product
• Inform and establish commitment for the product in the organization in order to meet the customers’ expectations and to ensure commercial success of the products
  
  
  

Business Unit Surface Sensor Solutions has global responsibility for Saab’s ground based and naval sensor systems and is responsible for profit & loss of our surface sensor portfolio including system sales, upgrades and services business.

Within Surface Sensors Solutions the Product Management are responsible for Product Contribution for all our products throughout the complete lifecycle of the product. This to secure good profitability, cash flow, delivery precision, quality and customer satisfaction over time.

Your profile

We believe that you have a technical background and leadership experience. You are comfortable working both independently within your field of competence as well as with other interfaces in order to secure quality and to meet directives and deadlines. You are a team player, willing to walk the extra mile for your team and its objectives. We believe you have drive, perseverance and an interest to understand the complexity in our environment, including the internal matrix organisation as well as external customer interest.

• Have business mindset and have experiences of customer interactions
• Have product knowledge in Surface Sensor Solutions S-band portfolio
• Have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Have a structured way of working that you are able to communicate and transfer to your team
• Are interested in learning new things and adapt to different environments and cultures
  
  
  

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply
