Product Owner roles (Mobile & Onboarding)

General Description

Join a leading digital banking organization in Abu Dhabi undergoing a major transformation across its customer-facing platforms. We are looking for experienced Product Owners to drive the delivery of high-impact digital products, focusing on mobile banking experiences and customer onboarding journeys.

This role is ideal for a product professional who can combine strong business acumen, technical collaboration, and customer-centric thinking to deliver seamless and scalable digital solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to define product direction and ensure successful delivery.

You will play a key role in shaping next-generation digital banking experiences, ensuring alignment between customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.

This is a contract role with strong potential for extension, supporting mission-critical digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization aligned with business goals

• Define and drive product roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders across business and technology

• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality product features in Agile environments

• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications

• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product delivery activities using Agile frameworks (Scrum)

• Ensure seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and business units

• Monitor product performance and continuously improve user experience and customer journeys

• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment on product direction

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal governance standards

• Support release planning, UAT coordination, and go-live activities

Role Focus Areas

Product Owner – Mobile

• Own and enhance mobile banking applications and digital customer experiences

• Drive feature development focused on usability, performance, and engagement

Product Owner – Onboarding

• Own customer onboarding journeys including account opening, KYC, and identity verification flows

• Optimize onboarding experience balancing compliance and user experience

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–8+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in digital / banking / fintech environments

• Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Jira, backlog management)

• Proven experience working closely with engineering teams and delivering digital products

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, roadmap planning, and customer journey design

• Excellent stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams

• Experience within banking, financial services, or fintech is highly preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile applications (for Mobile role)

• Experience with onboarding, KYC, AML, or account opening journeys (for Onboarding role)

• Exposure to digital transformation programs within financial services
