With its research division, our client aims to provide retail investors with the same level of market insight that insiders enjoy. By systematically evaluating hundreds of crypto projects, they deliver valuable, actionable insights to their subscribers and stay at the forefront of emerging trends in the cryptocurrency industry.

About The Position

Were you on the edge of your seat watching the Coinbase direct listing, following the rise of NFTs, and in the know about EIP-1559? Then we could have the perfect career opportunity for you. We’re looking for a tech-forward editor to join our team. In this role, you’d be engaging with large language models such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other artificial intelligence tools to create news content and magnify the breadth and speed of our editorial coverage. The ideal candidate would have a thorough understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain, a fluent understanding of English grammar, and a grasp of historic events that have influenced the culture and development of the industry

Qualifications

  • At least a one-year involvement in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
  • One to two years of professional writing or editing experience, preferably at a news or media company, and a knack for explaining complex concepts simply.
  • Familiarity engaging with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Dall-E, and Midjourney to rapidly draft and publish content
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with a portion of your availability during peak hours U.S. Eastern Time (somewhere between 8am — 6pm GMT-5)

Main Responsabilites

  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Write and edit high-quality articles and reports on cryptocurrency and blockchain topics. This includes keeping track of current news in the crypto industry, assessing relevant stories to cover, and writing compelling content on those stories.
  • Content Review and Editing:
  • Scrutinize articles, reports, and analysis focused on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Ensure content is not only clear and engaging but also accurately reflects the latest industry developments.
  • Fact-Checking:
  • Accuracy Verification: Rigorously verify the accuracy of all facts, figures, and claims made in the content. This includes checking the credibility of sources and ensuring that information is up-to-date with current market conditions and technological advancements.
  • Source Validation: Confirm that all data and statements are supported by reliable and authoritative sources, avoiding misinformation and ensuring content integrity.
  • Proofreading:
  • Error Correction: Identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting before content is published. Ensure that the final product is polished and professional, maintaining high editorial standards.
  • Consistency Checks: Ensure consistency in language usage, terminology, and formatting throughout the content to enhance readability and professionalism.
  • Content Planning:
  • Editorial Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a content calendar to schedule the production and release of articles, reports, and other materials. This involves coordinating with writers and researchers to plan content that aligns with current trends and market events.
  • Deadline Coordination: Manage deadlines effectively to ensure timely publication of content, and adapt schedules as needed based on breaking news or emerging trends.

Bonus Points

  • A degree in journalism, history, liberal arts, computer science, or law.
  • Prior experience working in media or research companies or high-growth startups.
  • Skills in Python, R, or SQL for interacting with and interrogating on-chain data.
  • Experience using Excel and Tableau to create attractive data visualizations.
  • Domain knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain tech, DeFi, and smart contracts.
