We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Manager Distribution to lead the operational, strategic and technological evolution of Qatar Airways’ global distribution ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation across channels, platforms and partnerships in one of the world’s leading airlines.
About The Role
As Senior Manager Distribution, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management and continuous enhancement of Qatar Airways’ distribution ecosystem, —spanning across global distribution systems, channels, API connectivity, aggregator interfaces and emerging airline retailing capabilities. You will provide deep industry expertise and commercial and technical stewardship to translate the distribution strategy into actionable plans, partner engagement models and measurable delivery across markets and channels.
You will represent Qatar Airways in key external engagements with Global Distribution Systems, aggregators and technology partners, ensuring that all platforms support a modern, efficient and consistent booking and servicing experience. This role sits at the heart of Qatar Airways’ distribution, working directly with the VP Distribution & Commercial Efficiency to shape and execute the airline’s global distribution agenda.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and lead Qatar Airways’ global distribution strategy and long-term transformation roadmap.
- Shape the airline’s NDC and modern retailing strategy, defining functional roadmaps and adoption models across regions.
- Translate strategic direction into clear operational plans and capability development priorities.
- Represent Qatar Airways in strategic, operational and tactical engagements with GDS providers, aggregators and API partners.
- Provide insight-driven recommendations to senior leadership using data, partner feedback and industry intelligence.
- Lead global day-to-day management of distribution relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, delivery and issue resolution.
- Oversee integration programs for NDC, APIs and aggregators, ensuring seamless onboarding, technical enablement and continuous upgrades.
- Own the operational ecosystem to enable accurate, efficient and consistent booking and servicing interactions.
- Govern misuse, channel hygiene, booking quality and corrective actions to protect cost and system integrity.
- Define and own Qatar Airways’ distribution policy frameworks, including channel standards, partner servicing expectations and booking quality compliance.
- Lead distribution data quality, reporting and analytics to support tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Drive alignment with IT, Digital, Revenue Management, Sales, Product and Loyalty teams to deliver distribution and retailing improvements.
- Prepare technical, commercial and financial insights for negotiations and strategic engagements.
- Lead cross-functional implementation of new capabilities and distribution initiatives.
- Set department objectives, evaluate performance and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Lead mentor and develop team members to ensure operational excellence and succession readiness.

Qualification
About You
- To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualification and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding and hands on experience of global airline distribution systems and technologies, including NDC across GDS and aggregators. Experience on Offer & Order is a plus
- Proven experience in leading multi-regional distribution or commercial technology functions.
- Strong commercial acumen with strong experience in strategy development.
- Proven track record in GDS and aggregator contract negotiations and strategic distribution partner management
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to negotiate and work within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment with excellent leadership skills.
- Strategic and forward thinker – anticipates what is coming and plans ahead.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
