My client is an emerging technology consultancy that works closely with clients across a range of sectors, including government, health, financial services and utilities. They are a global consultancy with a strong focus on customer‑centric solutions. Their mission is to deliver simple, effective strategies that help organisations progress their digital transformation maturity.
They are partnering with a Federal Government organisation and are currently seeking a Scrum Master to support the development of learning solutions across multiple departments.
Your new role
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban and SAFe practices, ensuring consistent framework application
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed
- Guide teams in becoming high-performing and self-managing, promoting accountability and ownership
- Track and improve flow, velocity and predictability using metrics and agile health indicators
- Help teams identify, escalate and resolve impediments and blockers
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to align across teams and contribute to ART-level ceremonies (PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt)
- Ensure team commitments are realistic and met through data-driven facilitation and scope management
- Implement and support DevOps practices including CI/CD, test automation and shift-left testing
- Champion relentless improvement, driving actionable retrospective outcomes
- Actively assess and improve team maturity using health checks, coaching plans and targeted interventions
- Educate stakeholders on Agile and SAFe practices to foster cross-functional collaboration
- Act as guardian of team boundaries, ensuring external requests are managed through appropriate channels
Must-have requirements
- Formal SAFe Agile qualifications (e.g. SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience as Scrum Master on large-scale ICT programs
- Strong facilitation and coaching capability with measurable team improvement outcomes
- Experience working within ART-level SAFe ceremonies and multi-team delivery environments
- Baseline security clearance
- Australian citizenship
Nice to have
- CSM, PSM or equivalent Scrum certification
- Experience in Australian Government ICT delivery environments
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or JIRA for backlog and sprint management
