Product Manager – Venum

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Drive the creation of high-performance fight products rooted in Venum’s combat DNA, while

ensuring commercial impact and clarity of the range.

Own product from insight to market: build relevant, credible and scalable assortments across fight

and adjacent categories.

Based in Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris), in Venum’s new offices


Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Range Building

  • Build clear and structured product ranges based on usage (training / sparring / competition /

lifestyle)

  • Define product architecture (good / better / best) balancing credibility and business

performance

  • Identify opportunities to simplify SKU landscape while strengthening key franchises
  • Ensure alignment with brand positioning: fight credibility first, business growth always


Product Creation & Development

  • Lead product creation from brief to go-to-market in close collaboration with Design,

Development and sales

  • Translate consumer insights into concrete product specifications (fit, materials, features,

price positioning)

  • Ensure products meet performance expectations specific to combat sports (durability,

protection, ergonomics)

  • Drive speed-to-market with agile and efficient development cycles


Consumer & Market Insight

  • Capture and translate combat sports usage needs (boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling)
  • Understand different consumer profiles (gym practitioners, fighters, lifestyle consumers)
  • Monitor competitors and identify gaps/opportunities to strengthen Venum’s positioning
  • Stay connected to the field (gyms, athletes, coaches, rings)


Business Ownership

  • Build commercially relevant assortments (price ladder, margins, volume drivers vs image

products)

  • Track product performance and define action plans (repeat, scale, kill)
  • Support key launches and franchises with strong product storytelling
  • Contribute to seasonal and long-term category strategy


Cross-functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Design, Development, Sales, Merchandising and Marketing
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders
  • Lead projects with ownership and accountability from concept to delivery


Key Relationships

  • Design (Apparel, Equipment, Footwear) and Product Development & Materials
  • Sales and merchandising
  • Marketing / Athletes / Partnerships


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of product creation process (apparel and/or equipment )
  • Ability to balance performance credibility and business objectives
  • Structured thinker with strong product vision
  • Agile, fast and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Hands-on, pragmatic and execution-focused
  • Interest and curiosity for combat sports and/or performance products


Requisite Education & Experience

  • 4–8 years experience in Product Management
  • Background in performance, sport or technical products (apparel, equipment, footwear)


  • Strong understanding of materials, construction and product usage
  • Fluent in English and French (or willing to learn)
