Java Software Engineer

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, Global Market and investment management services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement strategic applications for our firm. The ideal candidate is passionate about coding, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute innovative solutions that enhance our systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality strategic applications for the firm.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Develop comprehensive test scripts and conduct thorough testing to ensure software correctness.
• Operate within and contribute to modern architectural patterns and frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with a global team across multiple time zones.
• Proactively identify challenges and propose innovative technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 5-10 years of strong experience with commercial Java development is essential.
• Understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles is preferred.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial industry.
• Exposure to Slang programming language.
• Experience in developing large-scale, enterprise-grade applications.

Bonus Skills:

• Strong C++ experience.
• Familiarity with other programming languages (C++, Python) is a plus.
• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns and scalable application design.
