Business Analyst - Payments

Experis Luxembourg is looking for a Business Analyst specialized in Payments for one of its banking clients.

Your responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between business stakeholders, IT teams, QA, and external payment partners.
• Gather, analyze, and formalize business and functional requirements related to payment solutions.
• Contribute to functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing strategy.
• Design, execute, and coordinate functional, integration, and UAT testing activities.
• Create and maintain test cases, scenarios, and datasets aligned with business requirements.
• Validate end-to-end payment flows (payment initiation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, exception handling).
• Ensure compliance with payment schemes, banking regulations, and security requirements.
• Identify, track, and support the resolution of defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Support go-live preparation and post-production activities to ensure solution stability and service quality.

Your profile

• Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a relevant field (Finance, Banking, IT, or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Test Analyst in the banking or payments domain.
• Good understanding of payment ecosystems and payment processing flows.
• Knowledge of payment standards such as ISO 20022 is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with European payment schemes (SEPA, instant payments, card payments, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of banking regulations such as PSD2 or PSD3 is an advantage.
• Experience with testing and project tools such as JIRA, Xray, HP ALM, Zephyr, or similar.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Fluent in French and English.
