Data Scientist (Quant Focus) | €70,000 – €90,000 | Madrid (5 days onsite)

You’ll be joining a well-established, data-driven business that is investing heavily in its quantitative and modelling capabilities.

They operate at scale, with large, complex datasets at the core of decision-making across product and commercial functions. The focus is on building robust, production-grade models that directly influence strategy, not just offline analysis.

The team sits close to both engineering and business stakeholders, meaning the work you do is visible and used. There’s a clear push towards more advanced modelling, better experimentation, and stronger foundations across data.

Role

Hands-on Data Scientist role focused on building and deploying quantitative models that drive real business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy predictive and statistical models across core business areas
• Apply advanced quantitative techniques to large, complex datasets
• Run deep exploratory analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and feature engineering workflows
• Work with engineering to productionise models and ensure reliability
• Monitor performance and continuously improve model accuracy

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a Data Scientist or quantitative role
• Strong academic background in a quantitative field (Maths, Stats, Physics, CS, Engineering, Econ)
• Solid grounding in probability, statistics, linear algebra, and optimisation
• Strong Python skills with experience across standard ML libraries
• Experience working with SQL and large-scale datasets
• Able to translate business problems into structured analytical approaches
