C# Software Engineer

IT Software Engineer (C# / .NET)

Location: Den Haag, Netherlands

We require a C# Software Engineer to support and enhance enterprise IT systems within a commodity trading and financial services environment for a global Oil & Gas client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development and modification of C#/.NET applications supporting trading and financial services systems
• Work within established IT procedures, standards and work instructions
• Support existing applications across the trading application landscape
• Review, analyse and debug code to identify and resolve defects
• Provide recommendations for bug fixes, performance improvements and technical solutions
• Collaborate with senior engineers and wider IT teams to maintain system stability and reliability

Must‑Have Skills:

• Commercial experience developing or supporting applications using C# / .NET
• Experience within commodity trading, trading & risk, or financial services IT environments
• Understanding of enterprise application landscapes supporting Trading businesses
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Experience working in structured, process‑driven IT environments

Nice‑to‑Have:

• Experience supporting trading, risk, pricing or middle‑office systems
• Exposure to energy or commodities trading environments
• Knowledge of integration, APIs or event‑driven systems
