About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer who can autonomously design, build, and maintain the critical systems that power our platform. You will think like a product owner, identifying business opportunities and driving technical solutions that deliver measurable impact. This role involves working across the stack, ensuring backend services seamlessly integrate with frontend experiences while maintaining performance, scalability, and reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role exists to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing backend systems that directly drive business growth and user satisfaction.

Critical Outcomes For The Next 6–12 Months Include

• Designing and delivering impactful full-stack features with measurable business value.
• Implementing optimizations to improve system performance and scalability.
• Proactively identifying and addressing opportunities across the technical stack.
  
  

Core Responsibilities

• Own business problems end-to-end, from opportunity identification to solution delivery.
• Design and implement full-stack solutions, connecting frontend experiences to backend systems.
• Build with business metrics in mind, not just technical completeness.
• Proactively identify optimization opportunities across our technical stack.
• Ship measurable improvements weekly that drive business outcomes.
  
  

What You Will Need For This Position

7+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering roles.

• Strong expertise in backend development with experience in modern frameworks and languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go).
• Proficiency in designing and consuming APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies and how they interact with backend systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and scaling.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills, product mindset, and ability to work independently.

• Weekly delivery of features or optimizations with measurable impact on business metrics.
• Reduction in system latency, downtime, and resource utilization.
• Positive stakeholder feedback on feature quality, performance, and delivery speed.
• Increased efficiency and scalability of backend systems.
  
  

Who Youll Be Working with:

Directly reporting to our Head of Engineering, and closely working with our Technology Team.
