PSA Engineer - DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) GSW

Pre-Screening Questionnaire (REQUIRED INCLUDE ON COVERSHEET):
  • Do you have hands-on experience with Dispatcher training simulator system (DTS) for EMS?
  • Do you have experience in implementing Power System Applications such as Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Forecasting?
  • Do you have any enhancement, defect fixing experience in EMS, ADMS, SCADA?
  • Have you worked on Linux OS and databases to manage EMS environment?
  • How comfortable are you with scripting or database queries for troubleshooting or configuration?
  • Have you worked on Qtest,Grip tools?

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration, tuning and security patching preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software, as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc. (NO DTS operator experience needed)
  • Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, Console ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON
  • Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Power system applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Load
  • Frequency Control(AGC), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation event creation
  • Proficient in programming languages at least 3 years for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar.
  • SQL & Shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
  • Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems

  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Model validation and defect fixing for DTS system.
  • Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.
  • Conduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification.

EXPERIENCE RANGE IN REQUIRED SKILLS: 4- 6 years

Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
