Game Prototype Developer

Job Description

• Create and maintain quick Unity prototypes to allow the game designing team to test various game mechanics and game balancing
• Source their own art assets as placeholders and ensuring essential game flows and features are implemented in the Unity prototypes
• Discuss and participate in brainstorming sessions for game ideas and game features
• Analyze the testers’ feedback and make adjustments to the game flow in the Unity prototype accordingly
• Assist in game development process, engaging the team and resolving issues
• Understand and analyse the games produced by us and competitors 
• Occasionally create software tools that can assist in increasing productivity of the game designing team
• Work closely and collaborate with Game Designers, Game Mathematicians and Project Manager to produce quality games

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Game Design or other related fields
• Strong experience and knowledge in Unity (C#) development, able to create prototypes quickly and efficiently in Unity
• 2+ years experience in PC or mobile game development is preferred
• Demonstrated creativity in providing new ideas and problem solving
• Have great passion for gaming of various genres and understanding for game development
• Comfortable working on exploratory tasks and tackling unknown challenges
• Knowledge in other programming languages like C++ is a bonus
• Knowledge in Mathematics especially in the field of probability and statistic is a bonus
• Ability to work in a creative and collaborative environment
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple prototypes at the same time
• Self-driven, initiative and positive can-do attitude
