Role
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Frontend Engineer (AI) based in Palo Alto, CA, with flexibility for partial remote work 2 days a week.
We’re hiring an AI Frontend Engineer to build a Canva-like library of high-quality templates that power user-facing outputs (documents, reports, carousels, etc).
These templates will be programmatically generated and served via our MCP server, so this role sits at the intersection of frontend, design systems, and AI-driven generation.
This is not a typical frontend role — you’ll be shaping how AI outputs look, feel, and convert.
What you’ll do
- Build a template system for generating structured outputs (PDFs, reports, slides, social content)
- Design and implement reusable UI components (layout, typography, charts, sections)
- Integrate templates with our Vercel / MCP server for dynamic generation
- Work closely with AI workflows (LLMs) to ensure outputs render correctly from structured data
- Own the end-to-end rendering pipeline (data → layout → final output)
- Iterate quickly using AI tools (Claude Code, etc.) to ship fast
Requirements
- Strong frontend engineering (React / Next.js)
- Strong design sense (layout, typography, spacing — not just “functional UI”)
- Experience building design systems or component libraries
- Ability to go 0 → 1 on visual products, not just maintain
- Comfortable working full stack when needed (APIs, rendering pipelines)
- Deep fluency with AI tools (e.g. Claude Code or similar)
