N-iX Game is looking for a talented Technical Artist to design, create and implement special effects for our self-developed console game made with Unreal Engine. You will be responsible for creating effects, setting up levels and lighting, and finalizing the visual style of in-game special effects and overall level look to deliver the best results. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expert creativity and strong technical and artistic skills.

Responsibilities:

• Optimising shaders and advising art on how to further optimise assets and other content to fit within the technical limitations of the target platforms
• Working closely and pro-actively with the art, design and tech team to improve workflows and processes
• Identify pipeline, workflow & build problems, solve them or work with teams to mitigate impact on the final product
• Finalize the visuals on each of the 40+ in-game levels by addressing such aspects as lighting, special effects, post effects, etc.
• Drive the creation of special effects to achieve the best possible look for our game
  
  

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of experience as a Technical Artist, VFX artist or related art role
• A strong portfolio of work which demonstrates the ability to create high quality artwork suitable for games
• Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine, as well as knowledge of the particle system and the creation of particles
• In-depth knowledge of setting up lighting & scene optimization
• Good experience with creating and utilizing custom shaders
