About Shapescape
At Shapescape, we create playful learning experiences that combine education, storytelling, and technology. We're a small game studio with a track record of building ambitious interactive experiences. Right now, we're in the middle of something new, and we need an extra pair of hands who can move fast and work well in a prototype environment in our Ghent office.
What you'll be doing
You'll be working directly alongside our art lead to produce game-ready assets for mobile. Depending on your strengths, this could include environment art, UI elements, character assets, or atmospheric visual work. You'll be working within a creative direction that's already in place, so your job is to execute it well and communicate clearly when something isn't landing.
What we're looking for
- A generalist portfolio. We want to see range, not just one thing done perfectly
- Familiarity with Unity's asset pipeline
- Comfortable producing assets that need to combine, vary, and stay visually coherent across a project
- A good eye for atmosphere and mood
- Able to take feedback and iterate quickly in a prototype context
- Reliable and on-site. This project requires close daily collaboration
Nice to have, but not required: experience designing for mobile, and a background in Minecraft.
