We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of complex technology and R&D projects within our quantum systems organization.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, software, and research, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will play a central role in coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and maintaining transparency across the full project lifecycle.
This position is part of IQM’s new program management function and supports key development initiatives, including large-scale quantum technology programs and projects.

What will I be doing?
- Develop and execute project plans, including resource allocation and risk management strategies
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals
- Coordinate and manage project budgets, schedules, requirements and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress, performance, and delivery milestones
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, including leadership and project sponsors
- Conduct regular project meetings, reviews, and progress updates
- Closely collaborate with with internal teams such as operations team as well as with external vendors or partners
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
- Prepare clear project documentation, reports, and status updates
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in engineering or a science-related field
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale R&D or technology projects successfully
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Atlassian suite, or equivalent)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Experience in hardware or delivery project management
- Operations environment-related experience
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory environments
- Project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
