Role Overview

The purpose of this position is to lead the development and execution of a data-driven strategy that enhances business performance. The role focuses on strengthening data governance, ensuring data reliability, and expanding the use of business intelligence and advanced analytics to generate meaningful insights and value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, support, and evaluate team performance through clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Encourage professional growth, ownership, and skill development within the team
• Create a collaborative and trusting environment that promotes innovation and accountability
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements

Data Strategy Execution

• Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business priorities
• Define the roadmap and oversee delivery of key initiatives
• Select appropriate tools, platforms, and technologies to support data objectives
• Work closely with IT teams on system architecture, data security, and regulatory compliance (including data protection standards)
• Promote a data-centric culture through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement

Data Governance and Quality

• Establish clear ownership and accountability for critical data assets
• Develop frameworks to manage and maintain master data effectively
• Implement standards and processes to improve data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Introduce monitoring tools and continuous improvement practices
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations

Data Management and Value Creation

• Define data structures, business rules, and data definitions in collaboration with stakeholders
• Oversee data infrastructure, including collection, storage, and processing environments
• Build and manage business intelligence capabilities, from requirements gathering to dashboard delivery
• Lead the development and scaling of data science initiatives such as predictive modelling and advanced analytics
• Support business teams in increasing their data literacy and ability to leverage insights

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., data, finance, engineering, IT, or business)
• At least 10 years of professional experience in areas such as data, IT, business analysis, or financial control
• Previous experience managing teams (minimum 2 years)
• Strong familiarity with enterprise systems, data tools, and analytics platforms
• Fluent in English

• Works cross-functionally with departments such as finance, IT, operations, marketing, and legal, as well as external partners and consultants
