Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring a Network Support Engineer / Administrator to join our team. emagine is a dynamic, fast-growing international consulting and technology company, founded on real-world experience, focused on custom-fit solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment spanning 189 sites and supporting over 7,000 users nationwide. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining network operations, supporting infrastructure improvements, and ensuring the reliability, performance and security of enterprise network services.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Network Support Engineer / Administrator would be:

  • Provide advanced technical support and administration of enterprise network environments across WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi
  • Monitor network health, performance and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages and performance issues
  • Support network projects, migrations and infrastructure upgrades
  • Configure, maintain and optimise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security
  • Implement and maintain network security controls including TACACS+, RADIUS, ACLs, segmentation and 802.1X
  • Support modern network architecture initiatives including SD-WAN, SASE and Zero Trust
  • Install, configure and validate network equipment across enterprise environments
  • Produce and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configuration records and operational procedures
  • Support compliance initiatives aligned to NIS2 and ISO 27001 cybersecurity standards
  • Maintain documentation and operational processes for DHCP, DNS and IP address management
  • Contribute to operational improvements and automation initiatives
  • Provide knowledge sharing and technical support to team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors and service providers to deliver reliable network solutions

Requirements:

  • NFQ Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Computer Science OR CCNP OR ACCP – Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional
  • Strong experience supporting complex enterprise network environments including routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing/subnetting, wireless networking and network security
  • Experience installing, configuring and managing enterprise network infrastructure and lifecycle management
  • Proven experience troubleshooting network incidents and performing root-cause analysis
  • Experience monitoring and managing network devices using SNMP and SSH
  • Experience with firmware, patch and configuration management
  • Strong experience producing technical documentation including operating procedures, runbooks and network diagrams
  • Experience working within structured ITIL-aligned environments and change control processes
  • Experience working with ISPs, vendors and OEMs to deliver network services and solutions
  • Hands-on experience with HP Comware 7 switches
  • Experience administering Microsoft DHCP and DNS services
  • Strong experience with Aruba ClearPass including RADIUS, 802.1X, MAC authentication, TACACS+, Policy Manager, Guest and Insight
  • Experience using HP IMC for network management and monitoring
  • Experience using SolarWinds or similar network monitoring platforms
  • Understanding of SD-WAN, SASE and Zero Trust architectures
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs and secure remote access solutions
  • Understanding of NIS2 and ISO 27001 cybersecurity requirements

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid working model with 2 days onsite per week in Dublin
  • Standard working hours of 8 hours per day, Monday–Friday within an 08:00–18:00 window
  • Occasional out-of-hours support may be required depending on project or operational needs
