Data Analyst - Contract

Location: London office with hybrid working

Duration: 6 Months +

Rate: £300pd - £350pd inside IR35

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to address critical issues related to our client’s program. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of infrastructure, database (DB), operating systems (OS) and some project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency in understanding Operating Systems (OS) and Database (DB) logs, specifically in Windows, Linux, SQL, and Oracle environments.
• Support the remediation of Operating Systems and Data Base accounts with outdated passwords, collaborating with system administrators to determine the most effective and secure methods for password management.
• Assess risks associated with account misuse and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, effective from January 1st.
• Evaluate the potential impact of inappropriate access on SOX (Sarbanes–Oxley Act) compliance, including the risk of unauthorized data changes or deletion of activity logs.
• Conduct thorough reviews of activity logs to ensure accountability and transparency in system access.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in data analysis, with a focus on IT compliance and security.
• Strong project management skills and experience.
• Proficient in analysing Operating Systems and Data Base logs for Windows, Linux, SQL, and Oracle.
