Business Data Analyst

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our Africa Hub Business Analysis Team to analyse collections performance, lending unit economics, and operational efficiency, delivering actionable analytics, scalable reporting, and clear cross-functional insights.

What You will do:

• Lead debt collection analytics (recovery rates, roll rates, cure rates, people performance)
• Identify improvements in collections strategies and workflows
• Analyse operational performance across multiple business areas (Product, Sales, Operational Efficiency)
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Redash, Excel)
• Support automation of recurring reports
• Assist in analysing unit economics of lending products (revenue, cost, loss, profitability by segment)
• Monitor product and process performance across segments
• Work closely with different teams, including business and IT, on data-related topics

What You will need:

• Intermediate/Advanced SQL knowledge
• Strong Excel skills
• Interest in data, analytics, and problem-solving
• Motivation to learn and grow in an analytics role
• Analytical mindset with attention to details
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with business stakeholders
• Fluent English

Nice to have (but not required):

• Knowledge of Python or R
• Experience with Power BI, Redash, or similar tools
