What they actually care about is this. You’ve worked at a product company with real scale, hundreds to thousands of B2B customers, real money moving, real consequences when things break. You understand distributed systems not from a blog post but from having built and broken them in production.

You know what Kafka is for and when not to use it. You’ve had the conversation with a product manager where you pushed back because you knew something they didn’t, and you were right.

You don’t need a detailed spec to get started. You don’t need someone to tell you what the problem is.

You walk into a domain, you understand it faster than most, and you make the people around you better just by being there.

Stack: .NET/C#, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, GCP. You’ll work alongside mobile engineers on Swift and Kotlin, ML teams on Python, and frontend on React. It’s genuinely cross-functional and they actually mean it.

5+ years. Distributed systems in production. Product company background — startup or scale-up, not consultancy. Polyglot. High agency.
