AI Software Engineer - Amsterdam- Leading High Frequency Trading Firm

Summary:

A tech-focused market-maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space, my client is seeking a highly skilled, creative problem-solver to be their next hands-on AI Engineer in a dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to own the full lifecycle - from rapid prototyping through production rollout - as you design, build, and deploy robust AI agents using Python, integrating AI solutions with existing enterprise systems. As such, this will include working closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and deliver effective agents, as well as developing a platform to evaluate those agents.

You'll be expected to produce high quality, unit-tested code and uphold consistent style and documentation through code reviews & CI/CD practices. In return, you'll enjoy a relaxed culture working alongside some of the best professionals in the industry from over 50 countries.

Requirements:

• 6+ years' professional experience in developing Python applications
• Deep-level knowledge of Python 3.x, including advanced features (asyncio, type hints, context managers)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, OO design, & modular architecture
• Excellent knowledge of Python, common AI/ML libraries & third-party integration
• Some commercial or open-source experience in developing AI agents with any of the well-known services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field
