Chief Technology Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Technology Director/CTO to lead our R&D organization of 50+ professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the integration and unification of our previously separate teams under one cohesive organization. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technology strategy and execution for modernizing our legacy desktop applications to run natively in the public cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build a strong, high-performing R&D organization by hiring, training, and managing software engineering leaders and teams

· Establish standardized development processes, engineering best practices, and a consistent product strategy across the organization

· Oversee the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native solutions to modernize and migrate our legacy desktop applications

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define roadmaps, and ensure technology solutions deliver maximum business value

· Report to the CEO and Group CTO on the status, quality, and performance of the cloud services being built

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching, and data-driven quality metrics

· Represent the company's technology vision and capabilities to both internal and external stakeholders

· Drive the adoption of AI technologies across the development lifecycle to amplify innovation and productivity

Qualifications:

· Minimum 10 years of experience leading software development organizations of 50+ professionals, with a proven track record as a leader of leaders (e.g., engineering managers, senior engineers)

· At least 7 years of engineering management experience in building and operating scalable (50K+ users) cloud services

· Hands-on experience in modernizing and migrating software and databases to public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for at least 5 years

· Expertise in software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and cloud operations

· In-depth knowledge of database migration tools and techniques (e.g., Babelfish, NMIG, SCT, DMS)

· Experience in working with company executives to align technology strategy with business objectives and budgets

· Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate with international stakeholders
