Your new role and environment.

At GET (Gall & Etos Tech), we are a platform-based product organization, where GET is one of the business platforms. Our dynamic, interdisciplinary team of engineers and analysts delivers innovative technology solutions to drive customer value. As a Python Engineer, you will play a key role in building, deploying, and maintaining robust systems and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities of your role.

• Develop and maintain APIs and server-side logic using Python and FastAPI and React.js for the front-end side
• Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Write and maintain unit tests and test scripts using Playwright and PyTest to ensure application quality
• Optimize database queries and back-end performance
• Utilize GitHub for version control and code collaboration
• Deploy applications using Docker and manage cloud services on Azure
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and orchestrate services with Kubernetes
• Integrate GraphQL APIs to optimize data fetching and improve performance
• Stay updated with the latest back-end technologies and best practices

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency in test automation with Playwright and writing unit tests with PyTest
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with React (for full-stack collaboration or API integration)
• Experience integrating GraphQL APIs
• Curious, proactive, and a fast learner, able to quickly pick up new areas
