Back End Developer

First, this role is part of IT Delivery within the Private Individuals unit focused on Digital area squads.

The mission of the PI Delivery Unit is to enable our Business strategy of Building a digital bank with a human touch.

Particulary, the Digital area targets the development of simple end2end solutions for Mobile Banking & digital solutions used by our Private Individuals customers. We aim to offer to our customers stress free daily banking through accesible features, remote channels and apps. We are a big, full of diversity, well knitted team of coders, that love not only the development of applications, but also, challenges, hiking and smart ideas. We are relaxed, but very thorough with our work, dreamers to the core, but also convinced pragmatists.

What do we do? 💻

We analyze, understand, and create banking applications of high complexity, in Agile environment, using tools such as:

• Programming languages / frameworks: Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Apache Kafka
• Databases: Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB etc.)
• Release automation tools: Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Testing and code analysis: JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube
• Issue tracking / wiki: Jira, Confluence
• IDE: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux

What are we looking for? 🔎

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java platform
• Strong experience in programming languages and frameworks - Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate
• Worked before with: RESTful web services, JMS/MQ, SQL and relational database design, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2.
• Experience in Unit and Integration testing
• Some exposure to Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline for cloud, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, etc.
• Responsible person for ensuring that Java best practices are adhered to
• Responsible person for technical design documentation
• Quick learner and highly motivated to himself/herself abreast with latest technologies
• Good communication skills (Must)
• Mandatory usage of AI tools throughout the development and optimization process

• Worked with Kafka
• Familiar with CI/CD tools: JUnit, Git, Jenkins, Confluence, Jira, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, Artifactory
• Familiar with following concepts: Load Balancing, WS-Security, OAuth 2.0, Circuit Breaking, Throttling
• Familiar with Microservices Architecture
• Familiar with Linux environments
• Familiar with Docker/OpenShift environments
• Experience in Agile environment
• Strive to constantly improve the application development processes and tools
