Network Engineer (CISCO ACI Expert)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Managed end-to-end delivery of IT services (primarily production support) to client, ensuring SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.

• Lead client governance: own MBRs, weekly updates, and client stand-ups.
• The Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Expert is responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting Cisco ACI environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of enterprise data center networks. This role involves day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable network services.
• Administration & Configuration (Manage and maintain Cisco ACI fabric, including APIC controllers, leaf, and spine switches, Configure tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, contracts, and policies,Implement and manage L3Out, L2Out, and service graphs)
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting (Monitor network health, performance, and capacity using ACI tools and dashboards, troubleshoot connectivity issues, policy misconfigurations, and hardware/software faults, Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions)
• Security & Compliance (Enforce network segmentation and security policies within ACI, ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices, manage role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logs)
• Automation & Integration (Utilize APIs, Python scripts, and Ansible for automation of repetitive tasks. integrate ACI with VMware NSX, firewalls, load balancers, and other third-party solutions, support hybrid cloud connectivity and multi-site ACI deployments)
• Documentation & Collaboration (Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures. collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and application teams, provide training and guidance to junior staff)

Skills Required:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT service delivery, preferably in core application support management.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture and components (APIC, leaf, spine).
• Hands-on experience with ACI policy model (tenants, contracts, bridge domains).
• Proficiency in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with data center technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud platforms).
• Solid understanding of network security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Aruba Routing Switching would be an added advantage.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
