Cybersecurity Detection Engineer

getirfinans operates within Banking as a Service model, having established partnerships with players at banking sector. getirfinans has quickly become a favorite banking mobile application—reaching 1.5 million users and counting; with its daily interest-earning account, low-interest loans, competitive foreign exchange rates, free money transfers, and cards delivered within minutes.

We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Detection Engineer who will help set the direction, vision for getirfinans.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Administer and optimize the SIEM solution (Splunk) alongside our MSSP partner, improving detection coverage, advancing orchestration and automation, and enabling security services for internal teams.
• Integrate log sources, leveraging methodologies such as syslog, regex, and database log ingestion.
• Performing incident analysis in cooperation with MSSP and event response to mitigate threats effectively.
• Conducting Threat Hunting activities and assist in developing Threat Intelligence strategies using the existing SIEM environment.
• Collaborate with the team to adopt a Blue Team approach, enhancing defensive measures.
• Understanding of endpoint security technologies, including DLP, EDR, PAM solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 3 years in IT security and SIEM management.
• Proven experience in Splunk administration, including platform maintenance, detection rule development, dashboard design, and strong proficiency in SPL.
• Demonstrated experience in log integration, incident handling, and familiarity with advanced threat detection techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient understanding of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, NIST, ISO27001, or similar security standards.
• Up-to-date with cybersecurity trends and adaptable to new technologies.
• Research-oriented and eager to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup culture.
