Compensation Range: $100,000 - $115,000 per year

Job Description:

Java Backend development with Python scripting, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java backend development, Python scripting, and Unix/Linux shell scripting. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and automation scripts for enterprise grade applications, working closely with architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

• Java Backend:

o Strong hands on experience with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot

o Experience building REST APIs and backend services

• Scripting:

o Strong experience in Python scripting for automation and data processing

o Strong experience in Shell scripting (Unix/Linux) for batch jobs and operational automation

• Databases:

o Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server)

• Tool:

o Dynatrace and Splunk experience for application monitoring.

o Good to Have IBM CMOD experience.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (Spring / Spring Boot).

• Build and enhance batch jobs, automation scripts, and utilities using Python and Shell scripting in Unix/Linux environments.

• Develop RESTful services and support microservices based architectures.

• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure high quality, maintainable code.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

• Work closely with DevOps and support teams for deployments, monitoring, and automation.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and delivery commitments.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
