AI/ML Engineer

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our Bay Area team. This is not a research role. You will be building and shipping AI-powered features that real users interact with every day, including smart candidate screening, matching, and interview automation. We want someone who has worked with large language models in production and knows what it takes to make them reliable, observable, and actually useful. Hybrid work from the Bay Area.

What You Will Do

• Design and build LLM-powered pipelines using LangChain and LangSmith
• Integrate and optimize API calls to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Hugging Face models
• Build and maintain data pipelines that feed model training, evaluation, and inference
• Monitor and improve model performance in production using structured evals and tracing
• Apply solid AI engineering principles across the full lifecycle: from prompt design to deployment
• Work closely with product and engineering to ship features end to end
  
  

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI shipped to real users
• Proficient with LangChain and LangSmith for pipeline building and observability
• Experience working with OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs
• Familiarity with the Hugging Face ecosystem
• Solid understanding of data pipeline design
• Deep knowledge of AI engineering principles: if you have read Chip Huyen's AI Engineering book, you will feel right at home
• Claude certification is a plus
• Based in the Bay Area or open to relocating
  
  

Salary: $180,000 – $220,000/year
