Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Python Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a a digital health company focused on revolutionizing the pharmacy benefits market through data-driven innovation and technology. They aim to improve access and affordability of prescription drugs for individuals, employers, and other stakeholders. Products and Services:

Pharmacy Benefits Procurement Platform;
Clinical Services;

Requirements

Strong practical experience with such a tech stack as: Python; FastAPI; Pydantic; SQLAlchemy; Alembic; PostgreSQL.
Understanding of REST API development and integration.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to bring good energy and a positive, optimistic attitude.
Some AI experience with Claude Code and/or Cursor is desirable.
Interest in learning and using AI tools in their day-to-day work.
Knowledge of React.
Knowledge of Material UI.
Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend applications using Python.
Develop and integrate REST APIs using FastAPI.
Work with Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and PostgreSQL to manage application logic and data.
Support system integrations and backend performance improvements.
Collaborate closely with teammates across product and engineering.
Assist with occasional frontend work using React, Material UI, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Communicate clearly, contribute positively to the team environment, and bring a proactive mindset.
Show interest in learning and applying AI tools in daily engineering work.
