About The Role

Our OEM client, based in Gaydon, is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI & Animation Designer (Production) to join their dynamic team on a contract basis, inside IR35. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most desirable automotive brands globally, contributing to cutting-edge user interface and human-machine interaction (HMI) projects. The position is scheduled to run until 31st March 2027, with an umbrella pay rate of £33.64 per hour. As a Senior UI & Animation Designer, you will play a pivotal role in translating creative concepts into pixel-perfect visual components that align with brand standards and technical specifications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across automotive interfaces.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UI and animation design, with proven experience in the automotive or related high-tech industries. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects is essential. A solid understanding of design systems, brand guidelines, and UX principles is required, along with the ability to contribute to and evolve design frameworks. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams. A degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with UX and UI design teams to interpret and realize creative concepts, ensuring fidelity to the brand vision and technical specifications.
• Design and develop UI components that are visually appealing, functional, and consistent with the overall design language and brand guidelines.
• Act as the UI champion by promoting best practices in design, advocating for user-centric solutions, and educating team members on design standards.
• Create engaging animations and motion graphics that enhance user interaction and overall experience, utilizing tools such as After Effects.
• Ensure visual quality control by meticulously reviewing designs against complex HMI specifications, maintaining pixel-perfect accuracy.
• Contribute to the evolution of design systems, incorporating feedback and new insights to improve usability and aesthetic appeal.
• Work in an agile environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX and animation design to continuously elevate project quality.
